1988 RHD Land Rover Defender 90 Hard Top Sport Utility 2D

A Classic Defender 90 imported from the UK with a strong running 2.5 TDI Turbo Diesel engine 5-Speed manual transmission that shifts smoothly. Previous owner had vehicle stored at his weekend house on the North Fork of Long Island. Its current owner has vehicle registered and driven in Nassau County New York on Long Island

 

Recent work performed in June 2019 by British Auto Works a specialty Land Rover facility located in the Bronx - Engine was replaced with a newer 2.5 TurboDiesel with 85,000 miles along with all new filters and fluids. At the same time a new clutch kit was installed. Work cost totaled $5,682.09.

New Rear Brake line installed

Replaced Mirrors and Arms on both sides

Exmoor Black vinyl seat replacements for driver and passenger side.

Rebuilt Bosch Starter - January 2020

Entire inside of Defender has been sound deadened.

Not Installed but included with purchase is a Brand New Crossmember still in packaging.

 

Very good running, driving and stopping condition. Starts right up every time with no effort at all. The truck has made multiple trips to and from The Hamptons as well as Vermont. The truck does have a little rust, most evident on the rear crossmember. A brand new Crossmember still in its shipping package is included in the sale. Along with rust there are some other bits that need to be sorted. Overall a good driving Land Rover Defender 90 platform to build out to your desire.
